Student FAQ on Accessing BFW’s Launchpad on ClassLink

1. Why are updated instructions offered to students enrolled in AP courses?

During the first week of school, students were given temporary access to digital textbooks using the VitalSource

website which required registration using the following icon found on ClassLink.

Beginning on Monday, August 24, students will have permanent access to digital textbooks and supplemental

materials using the following icon found on ClassLink.

2. Are there noticeable differences between the VitalSource resource and the BFW resource site, Launchpad,

available in ClassLink using the icon below?

Yes, the VitalSource text permits students to access view-only rights to the AP textbooks for AP Psychology, AP US

History, and AP American Government. Launchpad provides students with full functionality of the Launchpad

program which includes receiving assignments from teachers within the program.

3. Can students continue using the Bedford, Freeman & Worth (Student Code) app in ClassLink?

Students will lose access to the digital textbook using the temporary codes effective Monday, August 31, and the

application will be removed from ClassLink.

Both applications will be available on students’ ClassLink home page starting Monday, August 24, but students

should transition to using the fully functional app, Lauchpad.

4. How do students access BFW’s Launchpad using a computer?

1. Go to https://launchpad.classlink.com/fcs

2. Enter your FCS username and password.

• Username: Fulton Student ID #

• Password: The default password is the student’s date of birth without any special characters

(mmddyyyy).

• NOTE: Students may change their own password. If you do not know your password, please contact the

Fulton County Schools IT Service Desk.

3. In ClassLink, click Bedford, Freeman, and Worth (red background, white waves).
