I think the government should pass a balanced budget amendment or something like that, at least for a while. I think in doing so it will be necessary for the government to figure out what they can keep and what they can go, and give them the option of looking for other methods of getting funding. One goal I'm hoping to be able to achieve in the short term is to rethink the balance sheet, which is to get money out of things that I think are overspending, like the military. My hope is that if we still want to maintain military dominance, we can adopt some kind of one- on-one rule where we match the spending of military spending second, then a little more, keeping our military in good shape while also spending a lot more on it. Another thing that I hope this will do is ask us to spend more time building our forces in other ways that are more economically appropriate, like strengthening diplomacy and more relationships. closer ties with allies.
Another thing that adjusting the equilibrium budget constraint can achieve is higher taxes on the rich to finance more government spending. I hope this action will lead to the passage of a more comprehensive tax on capital assets because that is where most of the wealthy make their fortunes. The capital tax is much higher along with the progressive labor tax, and I think we are still giving the rich a chance to have a lot of wealth without giving them the opportunity to accumulate enough wealth to make the economy profitable. worse than.
