Amistad
In this movie Amistad, the existence of slavery was clearly showed. The movie demonstrates a bunch of
events on how the slaves are huddled and captured and was used to be sold in the market while getting
treated like an animal while being hold by the people who are trying to sell them. It was obviously clear
that all the slaves before were not treated as a human but like material that has an owner that is being
sold in the market. Their owners can do anything to them while they don’t even have the right to
complain. The movie showed the viewers that even though there is a lot of struggles and hardships for
these people. There are still people who cares about other people and wanted them to be free. People
who still believes about humanity and civil rights. People who respect the life of every other people in
the society.
The movie Amistad is a really good movie that serves as an eye-opener for many people in our society. It
displays the condition of how people struggle in the past. Slaves experienced brutality and their lives
were taken away by the exact same people that are like them. They struggle for the work that other
people are benefitting from and they still don’t get the right treatment they deserve. This world has a
lot of injustice happening in every life of every people. Even today there is still a lot of unequal treatment
for each people. People still think that they are better than one another. Some people still don’t know
how to respect each other and make it easy for each other to work together.
We must keep everything we do in our mind. Other people are also important especially workers
because they get things done. Without their help, there will be no tasks that will be done and no work
will be finished. Everyone is struggling in this world full of problems that is why we need to respect each
other and help each other to make this world a better place.
