LopesWrite Questions
Write a 100 – 150 word response to each of the questions below.
1. List and describe two benefits of checking your LopesWrite score before submitting your
assignment.
LopesWrite is amazing if you ask me.
1. The LopesWrite is a program that was made for student that allows you to get a similarity
report percentage before your final submission of your assignments 500 words and over.
2. LopesWrite is a database that was created for students to use to check their assignments for
plagiarism. The program was created for students to get a second chance on a better grade, if the
similarity rate on their paper is high, they can go back in and work on their assignment to receive
a lower similarity percentage rate.
2. A student receives a 35% similarity rate on their LopesWrite score. What does this mean
and what should that student do before they submit their assignment?
If the student was to receive a 35% similarity rate on their LopesWrite score they can go back in
and edit their assignment to meet the 20% or less similarity report percentage. In my opinion
approximately 70% of the content of a written assignment should be original thoughts, analysis,
and paraphrasing written by the student. No more than 20% of the content should be quoted
material otherwise, it is not worth writing. A 35% similarity report is not an indication that the
material is plagiarized, the instructor can go in and look at the assignment and check for any
because it may be coming up with such a high score.
