Project 2: WH Framework

In response to the previous examination, there should be a framework put in place to determine if further action will need to be taken. For this framework, we will focus on the WH Framework. The WH Framework is defined as “A useful set of ethical guidelines requires recognition that managerial decisions must meet specific criteria” (Kubaseck N., et al., 2020). The criteria include understanding who and how the decision/s will affect and that the decisions me the standards of action-oriented business behavior (Kubaseck N., et al., 2020). In using this framework, we can determine who the affected stakeholders will be. This will include the principals of the company, also know as the owners or investors. The affected will also include employees, management, consumers, the community, and future generations (Kubaseck N., et al., 2020). Following the “Who” portion of the framework comes the “How” portion. It is important that a company understands how to make ethical decisions. There are three guidelines that should be followed. First is “the Golden Rule,” which is the idea that we should do unto others as we would want done to us or to treat others in a way you want to be treated. Second is a Public Disclosure Test. This is the question we ask ourselves when we consider these decisions. If the public knew about this, how would we choose to decide? The final guideline is the Universalization Test. This test challenges us to consider how the world would be affected if this decision was made universally. The WH Framework can guide Mountain Top View in making ethical decisions in the future but especially in this situation regarding the breach to customer information. This framework can be beneficial to all companies facing ethical dilemmas but does come with its
