It is important for companies to understand the four critical elements of Human Resource. The four critical elements to focus on is talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, learning and development, and total rewards. Talent Acquisition Recruitment is an important part in finding the “right” employee. It takes a lot of work behind the scenes from the talent acquisition team to find these employees. Talent Acquisition is there to determine the appropriate techniques to find qualified talent and provide an explanation on how to support the goals of the company. From personal experience some of the tasks that are used to hire the employees can range from all different areas of work. One of the most popular staffing strategies is employee referrals. Employee referrals have become more recommended in the process to find new talent (Noe et al., 2019,p). The reason for that is the HR team believes that the employees have the ability to find other talent that performs to the capacity that the company is looking for. It is important for Talent Acquisition teams to establish a staffing strategy. The key to a staffing strategy is the team is able to establish the job's key qualities and determine the type of recruitment needed to fill the positions. In order to recruit good talent is having good communication about the position and what the company has to offer with the potential employees. The use of online platforms has become a more common thing within the recruitment and communication stage of employment. Accounts such as , Linkedin, twitter, Indeed and many others have become the easiest way to advertise employment. LinkedIn is a great way for the company to not only advertise the employment opportunities but also the newest news that the company has to offer. Advertisement through these platforms helps with influencing a more

team. This team is used to develop new strategies for different functions within departments and finding the best and more efficient way to complete tasks. Another way the company's learning and development team has helped with employee retention is by influencing the use of tuition reimbursement and gym reimbursement. By providing employees the chance to use tuition reimbursement not only does it help with improving the chance to advance but it also helps the employee with the ability to go back to school. The reason my company brought the gym reimbursement was because they feel that good health and keeping up a good workout routine can help with the employees ability to work more efficiently if they are in good health. Setting goals for the employees is important when determining the outcome that you want. Learning and development can help with establishing new training programs that can help with providing a more visual and hands on training to employees who are struggling in a certain function. Another use of our learning and development team was during an employees onboarding orientation. We provide them with the ability to do hands-on tasks to teach the employee the importance of lean and ways to decrease accidents in the workplace. Total Rewards When an employee accepts a position and they are offered a decent pay but also the chance to have benefits it can help with influencing their decision to pick your company. Many employees look into the company's policies and what the company has to offer to its employees. Total rewards can be a key factor to someone accepting the position with the company or even the reason for employee retention. Total rewards not only pertains to compensation but also non monetary rewards (Noe et al., 2019, p). It is important for these companies to evaluate what mix of rewards need to be used along with the salary that is being given to the employee. The only way that many of these goals can be met is if the company has the budget to provide the

employees with the healthy benefits and bonuses. There are many companies who will also provide a sign on bonus or even relocation to its potential employees. It is important that these companies keep up with the total rewards because if the money starts to fall short many employees may not feel comfortable staying and they could miss out on a great employee because of not being able to offer a bonus.
