This 8-week customized fitness program should align with learnings from lectures and use concepts including FITT formula, Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines, Fitness Principles etc. This project has two parts: Part 1: Development of Fitness Program 1) Create a fitness program that will help you achieve your goals outlined in assignment one and that will help you work towards or exceed the Canadian Physical Activity Guidelines 2) Use the FITT formula to outline your program (include information about frequency of specific activities, intensity, time/duration and type) Part 2: Outline Evidence to Support Program 1) Use research evidence to guide/inform your program (i.e. type of exercises, sets, reps, intensity) you develop and to provide rationale for the program (i.e. effectiveness, health benefits, safety, functionality, etc.) (a minimum of 5 peer-reviewed journal articles must be used). 2) Provide citations in-text and on reference page according to APA 7th Edition Guidelines Formatting: • Include a title page that includes a title, your name, student number, course title, and instructor name. • The maximum length of the written report is 5 pages (not including title page). Use 12-point Calibri or Arial font, double-spacing where appropriate, and 1” margins. • Ensure that the report is well written: meaning ideas are clearly presented and organized, and the report is free of grammatical and spelling errors. • The use of headings is highly recommended. • Fitness program is NOT included in your page length
