Instructions 1. Identify one health issue that impacts Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples. 2. Write a 1500-word report discussing and critically analysing the factors that influence the chosen health issue from a perspective of cultural awareness and cultural safety. 3. The report should answer the following questions: • the historical perspective • why it is an issue? • extent/magnitude of the issue • is it a universal issue or geographically limited? • What are the contributing factors (e.g. stereotyping and racial attitudes) to the particular health issue? 4. You are also expected to discuss contemporary evidence-based strategies being used to address chosen health issue and whether the health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people are improving or not. 5. The report should adhere to the structure guidelines provided in the attached FPH201 Assessment 2 Report Structure.pdf. 6. You are strongly advised to read the rubric which is an evaluation guide with criteria for grading your assignment – this will give you a clear picture of what a successful report looks like.
