Benefits of a College Education
Let me ask you this, do you believe a college or post-secondary education is a necessity? As
Nelson Mandela once said, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to
change the world.” With most challenges or path’s in life, there is pros to every situation and
ultimately there are cons as well. Some may have concerns over jeopardizing their long-term
future with the college route. Individuals may question the amount of time it takes to obtain a
college degree, or the finical stress that may come with the multitude of student loans, or even
potentially damaging their respective credit scores. I believe a college education is essential, it
allows us to achieve personal growth, it exposes us to increased job opportunity’s, and also opens
the road to further pursuing your career through network connections. Therefor a college degree
is a part of the puzzle to long term happiness.
If you’re one of the recently graduated high school students, or maybe you’re just
interested in potentially pursing a college degree and you’re on the fence about the value of a
bachelors degree. You might be swayed by the amount of personal benefits that come with the
college experience. With the workload that post-secondary education requires there is no
question that skills such as writing, time-management, and also working within group dynamics
that have already been established prior in earlier education will be further improved on and
more polished. There are also chances to improve on interacting with fellow students, or
teachers, or even getting better in select situations such as presentations. Looking far ahead in the
scope of things, when finally completing your college program and earning that bachelor’s
degree you will feel empowered; you will feel a sense of reward for your hard work and it will
