To whom it may concern,
Thank you for taking the time to review my resume. I would like to tell you a
little about myself and explain why I would like to work for Kroger.
My previous job was working as a lifeguard at Big Splash, where I was
recognized for being dependable and hardworking. I was awarded the
Lifeguared of the Week Award the first week it was presented. I went above
and beyond every day that I worked, often taking on duties no one else
wanted to do. I worked 30 to 40 hours per week and even took extra shifts
when others called off.
Over the last two years, I have been focused on academics rather than
working; however, I would like to work during the spring and summer to save
money for college. I am currently a senior at Grove City Christian School, I
have a 3.9 grade point average and I am involved in varsity soccer, the
National Honors Society, and peer tutoring. In the fall, I will be attending the
University of Cincinnati with a major in engineering.
I would like to work for Kroger because the skills that I would gain would help
me better communicate with others and help prepare me for the future. I am
detail-oriented, dependable, and work well with others. I think I would be an
asset to your company, and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Lucas Beal
