BEHIND-THE-WHEEL PRACTICE LOG
The 30 hours of behind-the-wheel practice must be completed in the presence of an adult who is 21 years of age or
older and has been licensed for at least one year (TRC 521.222) before the student is eligible for a provisional
license. Only one hour of behind-the-wheel practice per day will count toward the 30 hours regardless of the number
of hours the student actually drives in a day. At least 10 of the 30 hours must be completed at night. You may be
asked to present this log to the DPS when applying for your provisional license.
