Hello all, I am looking forward to e-meeting all of you.

My name is Dr. Chichi Johnson. I have 28 years of experience as a professional advanced registered nurse and fourteen years teaching higher education. I am certified as Maternal-Child healthcare professional by NCC, Nursing Professional Development Practitioner by ANCC, and Clinical Nurse Educator by NCC.

I am a member of The National League of Nursing; The NYS Intellectual and Developmental Disorder (ID/DD) Nurses Association; the Golden Key Honor Society; Sigma Theta Tau International; Kappa Delta Pi; the National League of Nursing and American Nurses Association. My research interests include Maternal-Child Health issues; Intellectual and Developmentally Disability, Nursing education, LGBTQ+ healthcare issues, Adult Education and Learning, Cultural Studies, Cybergogy, and Public Health policies. I am a proud ally for the LGBTQ+ community.

I obtained her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees from the

City University of New York, Herbert H. Lehman College; Postgraduate degree in Population Care Coordination from Duke University, a doctorate in Adult Education and Higher Learning from Walden University, a Law degree with Honors from Wolverhampton, England, and a Doctorate in Nursing Practice from Touro University Nevada.

I have practiced in different nursing roles as a bedside nurse in Maternal-Child specialties, Nurse Researcher, Staff Development practitioner, Healthcare consultant, Legal Nurse Consultant, Nurse Entrepreneur, Educator, Nurse Auditor, and Executive Nurse Administrator.

I live in New York City with my husband and three children. I love dragging my family to Broadway shows, state and national museums, and exploration of the United States every summer. We have traveled to 32 states. I also love to travel internationally. I love playing Roblox video games with my 11-year old son, and I am a SciFi and horror movie addict!

Evaluation Methods

The maximum score in this class is 1,000 points. The categories, which contribute to your final grade, are weighted as follows.  Graded Item Points Weighting Reflection: Modules 1- (15 points per module reflection)

Late Assignments

Students are expected to submit assignments by the time they are due. Assignments submitted after the due date and time will be awarded a grade of zero.

In the event of an emergency that prevents timely submission of assignments by Sunday of Week Seven, 11:59 p. MT, students should contact their student advisor for further direction.

Attendance Policy

Attendance is tracked through the Canvas Learning Management System. Students who do not participate in a course for seven (7) consecutive calendar days will be sent an impending attendance dismissal notice advising that he or she must attend within the next seven (7) calendar days or will be withdrawn from the course. Participation is defined as submitting a class assignment, participating in reflection forums , collaboration café's, or completing quizzes and exams.
