reduces inflammatory symptoms and relieves
pain
PO
IV
acetaminophen, aspirin, corticosteroids, digoxin, diuretics,
alcohol use
angioedema, asthma, bronchospasms, nasal polyps,
rhinitis, surgery
dizziness, headache, nervousness, MI, seizures, heart
failure, abdominal cramps, anorexia, GI bleeding,
hemorrhage, renal failure, bronchospasm, bleeding,
hypokalemia
to relieve mild to moderate pain
- be aware of cardiovascular
thrombotic events
- monitor patient for MI and
stroke
pain will be relieved
- take tablet with full glass of water
- take with food or after meals
- avoid taking 2 differend NSAIDs
at same time
- avoid alcohol, corticosteriods and
aspirin
- report flu-like symptoms
