-Know the differences between colonial life in the northern and southern colonies.
The difference between the northern and southern states were tremendous. The southern
colonies were founded to give colonist chance to grow economically. While the south was
worrying about money the northern colonies were founding themselves for political and
spiritual freedom. the south had a warm climate while the north was much colder. The
north had great soil for farming while the north struggled to find good reliable soil. The
way the north and south functioned economically is another big difference between the two.
The north thrived off of trade and manufacturing while the south relied on their crops. The
biggest difference to me is that the southern colonist had slaves and the northern ones did
not. If I lived in this time, I hope that I would end up in the northern colonies.
