Self-reflection is needed to grow and advance both personally and professionally. Honesty within yourself and your abilities is key to success. Place everything that you do in a day on this form. You may use colors, bold, different codes: whatever makes it easy for you to “see” what is happening on any given day. Be very specific and include all aspects of life, driving, sleeping, study time, self- care, shopping, eating, everything. When creating your timeline, be sure to account for time to retake any outstanding ATI proctored assessments. This is where you must “SEE” how you spend your time and how you can plan preparation for the ATI assessments and additional course work. Being accountable for time and planning promotes success.

 Start with the first day of the quarter.  Review your course work responsibilities and prioritize.

 Review assignments and due dates, then complete this NCLEX-RN® Success Plan Template <document sent to Cory>  Finally, review the questions at the bottom of the calendar.

Answer honestly, with detail. Reach out to your faculty for guidance if you are struggling with time management in this last quarter. Identify members of your support system and share your success plan; ask for assistance with staying on track. This is the last hurdle of your educational journey, and creating a plan for success is the first step toward earning licensure as a registered nurse.

Self-Evaluation: Strengths and Challenges

List three strengths you have that will assist you in being successful with your plan. Be specific and give examples. How will you use these strengths?

List three challenges that you have that may hinder your ability to be successful with your plan. Be specific with clear examples and

Answer: Good planning: Week planning is what I used in my planner for school. When having my week planned out, I know when I have free time and when I need to work on homework or study. Time management: I believe that I time manage pretty well. I like making sure all my homework is done so I have time to enjoy myself with my family and friends. Committed: I am very committed to school as I work hard to pass all my classes so I can graduate and become a nurse. I show I’m committed by putting in the time to study where and can and not working right now to put all my focus on school.

descriptions. Finding motivation some days when I’m in a slump is going to be a challenge for me. Getting distracted easily and wanting to do other things than homework or study is another challenge. Being a people pleaser, this is going to be a challenge for me because I hate saying no to people so when I get asked to work or if someone wants to hang out I say yes because I don’t want people mad at me. Self-Evaluation: Strategies

What strategies will you use to overcome these challenges?

List ways that you will overcome the obstacles listed above. Include examples that are realistic and specific.

Name areas you may need help from your faculty. Where are your concerns, what assistance and guidance do you need to complete this course successfully?

Answer: To not become so distracted I’m going to turn my phone off and do homework in my office instead of on the couch downstairs. When my family is home, I will tell them to leave me alone so I can focus. For motivation I will tell myself to get up and do it because no one will do it for me. If that doesn’t work My school friends and my family pushed me to make sure I have everything in order. Being a people pleaser, I will really try to say no If I do not have time or if I know I have a test coming up. I will also tell my friends to not ask me to come out, so I don’t say yes but to wait till I ask so they know I’m not busy.

Areas I may need help will is reassurance that everything will me ok and that I’m just over thinking everything. Maybe so motivation to keep going when I’m getting tired and stressed out.

Self-Evaluation: ATI Comprehensive Learner Needs Assessment Results

Reflect on your results. Which category within the NCLEX test plan is your strength? Which category needs the most attention/preparation? Does your score surprise you? What will you do within this quarter to promote success on the Comprehensive Predictor and eventual NCLEX- RN?

Pharmacological and parenteral therapies are where I need to work this is kind of surprising to me as I did well on my pharmacology ATI maybe because I study more for that one than the others, I’m not sure. To be successful for the comp is to study and do the dynamic quizzes and read the book.
