HS 103 Midterm Study Guide S 2020
The midterm will be comprised of approximately 45-60 questions. Questions will be a mix of
multiple choice, true/false, and matching. There will be no short answers on the exam. You will
need to bring a Scantron T&E 200 and a pencil. To succeed on the midterm, please carefully
review the powerpoints posted on Canvas, and completely read all the assigned textbook
chapters, videos, Kaiser Morning Briefing articles, notes from guest lecturers and other reading
from the beginning of class. You are permitted to bring to the midterm exam one (1) 3” x 5”
index card with notes handwritten (not typed) on both sides. Your card will be confescated if it
is typed or if it is any larger than 3” x 5”.

Based on what you have learned in this course so far, what would happen to health
care prices if Americans whose health care currently is paid for by their employer instead
had to write a check each month to pay for health care? Why?
-If Americans had to pay for their own healthcare, prices would be increase.
Many ppl would not be able to afford health care coverage or would rather go
uninsured than pay the price. With enrollment being low, insurance companies
would raise the price in order to cover the costs.
What is the largest health care delivery system in the U.S.? This health care system is
an example of what kind of medicine?
