Personal Identity Activity

Your name: Constantino Maliselo

Directions: Dr. Lee has asked you to complete the following personal identity activity. Follow the step-by- step instructions below. Respond to all of the questions, and then submit this sheet.

  1. Reflect on Your Perception of Yourself Prior to taking the personality test, describe your perception of yourself.

I am self-motivated, but sometimes I feel the urge to give up on some life challenges but I

never found myself giving up, I am hardworking and lazy at the same time, yes! To be

honest, sometimes I feel overwhelmed, but I am still learning how to control my emotions, I

am somewhat aggressive but a caring individual, I keep my distance from people, and am

not into deep relations with which makes me an introvert.

  1. Complete the Myers-Briggs Personality Test The test should take you about 10 to 12 minutes to complete.

  2. Read Your Results First, read the Introduction. Then, review the Strengths and Weaknesses, Career Paths, and Workplace Habits sections (and any additional sections that you would like to read). To navigate to a specific section, select the section from the list on the left side of the screen.

  3. Reflect on Your Results Summarize your results. What were your test results, and what did they reveal about you and your values? Your summary should include strengths and weaknesses, workplace habits, and career paths.

Personality type: Adventurer (ISFP)

I am assertive, as I refuse to worry too much and tend to be confident even when handling a

slime situation, I am a prospective individual, good at adapting to new responsibilities as

well as a flexible nonconformist, I am more sensitive as I am a feeling individual with strong

aesthetic sense, I value empathy, social harmony as well as cooperation, also I am an

observant being, as I have a strong focus on what is happening around me, lastly, I am more

of an introvert as I prefer few, deep and meaningful social interaction, if not I choose to stay

by myself which is a weakness. My career path is can be a clinical physiologist since I am a

feeling person, I get to understand someone’s emotions easily and how they are feeling

inside, to add up, I think I can be a graphic designer since I tend to be an artistic and

creative person with strong aesthetic sense.

Strengths that may have influenced my Adventurer personality are: I spend a lot of my free

time exploring various random topics that pique my interest as well as the fact that my

1

happiness comes more from helping others accomplish things than my accomplishments

and I am an artistic person.

Weakness: I don’t feel relaxed just approaching someone I find exciting and starting a talk, I

find myself too sensitive, and there is a fact that I avoid leadership roles in group settings.

Lastly here are workplace habits that you have given my personality:

1. I often end up doing things at the last possible moment

2. I become fed up or lose interest when the discussion gets highly theoretical

3. I look for flexibility to work things out my way mostly.

4. I don’t like the pressure of strict ruling in the workplace and tend to avoid such

instances.

[ CITATION Sam21 \l 1033 ]

Identify an aspect of your identity and describe the factors that influenced it.

“Values and beliefs” are my aspects of identity. Values- these are durable principles and beliefs about what is important to an individual. Beliefs- belief is what develops into a value when the person’s commitment to it increases. [ CITATION Minnd \l 1033 ]

It is influenced by many factors such as:

Culture- the way of life of a person tends to dictate their values as well as beliefs, Individuals

from various backgrounds of the country tend to have a more convenient cultural identity, myself as an example, the way that people from my culture believe is diverse from how the people from your culture believe, values too may differ from community to community.

Friends- on my view, friends do affect the way that I do things as well as think, so on

choosing friends I make sure to select the ones that will make my personality shine and not

the opposite as they may interfere with my values and beliefs.
