Statement of Need

The company needs to transition to the cloud for many reasons. One of the main reasons is financial stability. The other reasons, to name a few, will be better resources, unlimited data storage, enhance security, better collaboration, disaster recovery, stability, 24/7 technical support, better access, and control. These are just a few of the reason as it will make easy to keep up with the future technology as it keeps advancing.

Cloud Service Providers

There are many Cloud service providers nowadays as it is a fast-growing industry as it has come to high demand. The services provided by the cloud providers are Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The most know Cloud service provider as Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is an Amazon company that started in the year 2002. AWS is the most popular cloud service provider in the world. It is the world’s most comprehensive and broadly adopted cloud platform, offering over 165 fully-featured services from data centers globally. These services are used by many customers, that includes individuals and companies. Some of the services provided by AWS are Virtual Private Cloud, EC2, AWS Data Transfer, Simple Storage Service, DynamoDB, AWS Key Management Service, AmazonCloudWatch, Simple Notification Service, Relational Database Service, Route 53, Simple Queue Service, CloudTrail, Elastic Compute Cloud, and Simple Email Service. There is also AWS security, global availability, certifications, and many more to explore.

Microsoft Azure is one of the fastest-growing clouds among them all. Azure was launched years after the release of AWS and Google Cloud but is still knocking on the door to become the top cloud services provider. Azure offers hundreds of services within various categories, including AI + Machine Learning, Analytics, DevOps, Identity, Integration, Internet of Things, Management, Blockchain, Compute, Containers, Databases, Developer Tools, Media, Microsoft Azure Stack, Windows Virtual Desktop, Migration, Mixed Reality, Mobile, Networking, Security, Storage, and Web. It also offers other amenities unique to Azure intelligent cloud, Azure security, Azure compliance, Azure stack, Azure certifications, and global availability.

Google cloud platform (GCP) one of the leading Cloud Computing services which are offered. Like AWS and Azure, Google Cloud also offers similar services in various categories, including computing, storage, identity, security, database, AI and machine learning, virtualization, DevOps, and many more. The others services included by Google Cloud are AI and Machine Learning, API Management, Compute, Containers, Data Analytics, Databases,

Shown above are some tables as a point of reference comparing the three cloud services. The table shows some of the services that all three companies offer. These include giving the names of the service provided by each cloud provider. For example, App hosting each cloud provider has its method, AWS is called Elastic Beanstalk, Azure is called Cloud Service, and Google Cloud Platform is called App Engine. Also, above, you can see the table comparison of Cloud services providers pricing. After that, you can see the calculated discount per Cloud service provider. It will give you an idea of the yearly terms and the three- year term. AWS is one of the first and most popular cloud services. As shown on the tables above, it is also the best financially speaking. The company will be easy to adapt to the system, and it will be adjusted to the company’s needs.

Impact of Recommended Plan

The company can be better managed and secure. It offers global support, 24/7 security, adjustable storage, and you can control every movement as the company increases or decreases production. There is a small risk of losing information in transition and some latency until the transition is completed. There will be a need to let customers and partners know so they can know what is happening and that it will be better for the company and consumer.
