Electrolytes CBC

Sodium: 136 -145 mEq/L

Potassium: 3-5 mEq/L Calcium: 9.0-10 mg/dL

Magnesium: 1.3-2 mEq/L Phosphorous: 3.0-4 mg/dL

Chloride: 98-106 mEq/L

RBCs: Males 4.7-6 million/uL RBCs: Females 4.2-5 million/uL Hgb: Males 14-18 g/dL Hgb: Females 12-16 g/dL

ABGs Liver Function Tests

pH: 7-7. PaCO2: 35-45 mmHg PaO2: 80-100 mmHg HCO3: 22-26 mEq/L

Albumin: 3 to 5 g/dL Ammonia: 15 to 45 mcg/dL Total bilirubin: 0 to 1 mg/dL Total protein: 6 to 8 g/dL

Blood Lipid Levels Urinalysis (UA)

Total serum cholesterol: desirable < mg/dL LDL: desirable <130 mg/dL HDL: males >45 mg/dL; females > 55 mg/dL Triglycerides: desirable <150 mg/dL

Specific Gravity: 1 to 1. Protein: 0-8 mg/dL Glucose: less than 0 g/day Ketones: none pH: 4 to 8 WBC: males 0 to 3 WBC: females 0 to 5

Anticoagulant Therapy Renal Function

Therapeutic INR: 2-3. PT: 11-12 seconds. Therapeutic range for anticoagulant therapy is 1 to 2 times the normal or control value PTT: 30-40 seconds. Therapeutic range for anticoagulant therapy is 1 to 2 times the normal or control value INR: Normal INR is 0.8-1; Critical value > Platelets : 150,000-400,000 /mm

Serum creatinine: Males 0.6-1 mg/dL Females 0.5-1 mg/dL BUN: 10-20 mg/dL Creatinine clearance test: Males 90-139 mL/min Females 80-125 mL/min

Blood Glucose Levels Therapeutic Medication Monitoring

Glucose (fasting): 70-105 mg/dL Glycosylated Hemoglobin (HbA1c): 4%-6% is normal >8% indicates poor DM control

Digoxin Level: 0.8-2 ng/mL Lithium Level: 0.4-1 mEq/L Phenobarbital: 10-40 mcg/mL Theophylline: 10-20 mcg/mL Dilantin: 10-20 mcg/mL
