Weighted Aggregative Method

In this method, appropriate weights are assigned to various commodities to reflect their relative importance. The amounts of the quantity consumed. Purchased, or marked are the weights used. Sum of the importance formula used under the method are

Laspeyres Method

Paasche's Method

Fisher's Method

Marshall Edgeworth Method

Bowley Dorbish Method

Kelly's Method

Where

P1 = Price in the current year

Po = Price in the base year

q1 = Quantity in the current year

qo = Quantity in the base year

q = (qo + q1)÷ 2

Ans = 125

b) Paasche's Method

= 130/160 × 100

Ans. = 81.

c) Fisher's Method

=√ 158

Ans = 12.

d) Marshall Edgeworth Method

= 200+130 / 160+

= 1 Ans

e) Bowley Dorbish Method

= ½ (200/160 + 130/103)× 100

= ½ ( 1+1)× 100

=126 And

f) Kelly's Method

= 165/131 × 100

= 126 Ans
