Is Online Learning Effective Compared to Traditional Learning? Due to the rapid spread of the virus, the president announced a lockdown in the country to lessen the spread of the virus. This has led to universities to push through online learning. To be honest, online learning is more expensive than traditional learning, due to the fact that not everyone has an internet connection at home, some are using data. In line with this, others don’t have gadgets to attend their class. Another factor is the internet speed of the country. According to Ookla’s Speed Test Global Index, the average speed of the Philippines is 18. megabits per second, so low internet connection may occur during class.

Based on my experience, I had a hard time coping up with online learning since it’s easier to study in an actual school. Furthermore, there are several factors that can be a hindrance during online learning. In addition, students may be tempted to cheat while answering the quizzes. Also, there are students who are visual learners as well. Also, there are many distractions during online learning that can catch the attention of the students.

In conclusion, online learning is not effective compared to traditional learning, several factors that are mentioned above can be a hindrance for online learning. From all of the things that I have mentioned, do you still prefer online learning?
