Hello,

Yes, it is explicating the poor, for a poor person to be willing to sell their organ for money to live a bit better for a short time. But if you ask someone that lives a comfortable life to sell their organ the chance of them saying yes is lower than a poor person. Selling organs can come with future medical problems leading them to more bills to pay.

“Organ brokers typically snag the unwitting sellers through deceptive advertisements. One ad, in a Bangladeshi newspaper, falsely promised to reward a kidney seller with a visa to the United States. Moniruzzaman collected more than 1,200 similar newspaper ads for the study.” (McLachlan, 2021)

How I would define the term as: exploring the weak to help the wealthy

McLachlan, H. V. (2021, July). Exploitation, criminalization, and pecuniary trade in the organs of living people. Journal of bioethical inquiry. Retrieved August 2, 2022, from ncbi.nlm.nih/pmc/articles/PMC8324612/
