We solve for discount by multiplying the original price to the discount rate. We can get the new / sale price by subtracting the discount to the original price.

  1. The sales tax on a Php 25,400 sala set is Php 3,048. What is the rate of sales tax? – 12%

  2. A doll was sold for Php 2,460 with a 20% discount. What was the original price of the doll?
